This looks to be a two horse race with either Curlin (6/5) or Hard Spun (5/2) taking the honors. Each has acquitted themselves well in the two earlier legs of the Triple Crown . Hard Spun is likely to have it easy this time on the front end, and if he can be rated a little there instead of running the fast early fractions he did in the last two he will have plenty left in the stretch. Curlin showed he will be a force late though with a very impressive stretch run in the Preakness. I'm inclined to think the show will be tightly contested between C P West (12-1) and Imawildandcrazyguy (20-1) with an edge to the former. The filly Rags To Riches (3-1) adds a new dimension to this. Her last race earned her an impressive rating, but will she be up to the stiffer competition in this race? She will be worth considering if her odds rise enough above the Morning Line.
