MONARCHOS deserves to be a favorite after his splendid Kentucky Derby outing. However, we see this race a little tougher for him. There will be a little pace provided by Richly Blended and Percy Hope but not the brisk one seen in the Derby. This race is also a little shorter and without a perfect trip, the favorite will have his work cut out for him. Look for an improved finish from Congaree as the key rival, since he just ran out of gas running near the front in the fast Derby. Point Given will also be tougher here. He is outside again, but it is not so far to the rail. We see Monarchos, Congaree and Point Given as a primary trifecta box, perhaps with Richly Blended and Longshot choice AP Valentine thrown in to hit the board somewhere if any of the top three falter.
